    In Advance of Departure

Inspect vehicle fluid levels:
    o Brake / Radiator / Power Steering / Tranmission (burnt odor?)
    o Engine Oil
    o Inspect Spare Tire (psi)
    o Tighten Lug Nuts on the TT (120 ft/lbs) and Tow Vehicle (100 ft/lbs)
    o Ascertain Propane level  (get it filled if needed)
    o Fill up Gas Tank

Vehicle Back-Back:
    o Is Medical Kit complete?
    o Is Tool Kit complete?
    o Is Jumper Kit complete?  
    o Is the Jumper Battery Pack fully charged?
    o Is there spare Water & Oil onboard?

Travel Trailer:
    o Start Refrigerator (stock supplies as needed)
    o Drain Potable Water/Gray/Black tanks (if necessary)

Check MAP of Campground for location of Dump Station for Potable Water fillup

    ... Pack bedding, clothing, jackets, weather gear
    ... Pack consumables (paper towels, plates, plasticware, etc.)
    ... Pack any foodstuff that does not go in Tow Vehicle
    ... Secure all loose items so they do not move during transport
    !!! Make sure weight is evenly distributed !!! 

    o Arrange items in Fridge so they remain secure / Fully latch doors
    o Close and lock all cabinets and drawers
    o Close Vent in Bathroom / Close Bathroom door
    o Close all windows (3)
    o Retract Awning (brush off debris with broom from underneath as it retracts)
    o Confirm the Stove is OFF   (knobs fully counterclockwise)
    o Turn OFF the water pump    (red light extinguished)
    o Turn OFF the water heater  (control in bathroom)
    o Turn OFF AirCond / Turn OFF Furnace (Thermostat fully to the left)
    o Lay TV face down onto bed
    o Turn OFF all interior lights
    o Verify Battery Voltage     (above 12.6 volts on LCD)




-------------- EXTERIOR -------------- o Turn OFF white power switch inside Water Heater compartment o Turn OFF Propane (valve atop tank) o Disconnect Power Cable and stow it o Disconnect water hose and stow it + Take down and stow Ham antennas (if applicable) + Disassemble SOLAR equipment (if applicable) o Make sure cap is on sewer outlet and is secure o Check Tire pressures (75 psi TT / 35 psi Car) (or use TPMS in car) o Install and CLEAN strap-on Mirrors on Tow Vehicle ------------------ HITCH HOOKUP ------------------ ======== No further access inside the Travel Trailer ======== o Stow door steps / Lock door / Stow handrail across door o Raise Stabilizing Jacks (stow wrench in storage compartment) o Remove Hitch from TT rear bumper storage position o Install Hitch onto Receiver on Tow Vehicle o Insert Locking Pin o Unlock the Security Lock on the Trailer Hitch (stow Lock onto Propane tank) o Slide Ball Lock to the OPEN position o Crank UP (CW) hitch until it is higher than the Ball o Clean and Re-Lube Ball (rags and Lube are in Storage Compartment) +++ When Tow Vehicle is in Reverse the Backup Camera will come ON +++ Press ZOOM button on screen to zoom camera onto the Hitch Ball +++ Back up Tow vehicle until Ball is directly under Hitch Cup +++ Place Tow Vehicle into PARK o Lower TT (CCW) onto Ball o Slide Ball Lock to CLOSED position (may require hopping on hitch and/or move Tow vehicle back & forward) o Insert locking pin into Ball Lock o Remove Torsion Bars from storage compartment / Clean and Re-Lube o Insert Torsion Bars into Hitch (push upward until they "click") o Crank UP (CW) Front Jack until Torsion Bars can be swung into position on J-Hooks o Insert clamps and locking pins on BOTH bars NOTE: Rear of Tow Vehicle should "lift" with the raising hitch confirming that the Ball is firmly locked o LOWER (CCW) the front jack until it is well clear of the ground (stow Red Cone in storage compartment) o Attach Safety Chains (2) o Attach Breakaway Switch cable o Plug 7-Way cable from TT into Expedition Tow vehicle o Remove Wheel Chocks (4) (stow Chocks in storage compartment) o Inspect Tire Sidewalls for any bulges/damage o LOCK Storage Compartment +++ Perform final WALK AROUND +++ ----------------- TOW VEHICLE ----------------- o Turn ON TPMS (should indicate 35 psi on Tow / 75 psi on TT) o Place Rearview Camera Display onto Dashboard o Plug power cord into CigLtr outlet o Turn ON the TT Backup Camera (Marker Lights) / Set Display to Rearview (using CHAN- button) Check Lights (will require an observer) - Marker lights should be ON (leave ON for Backup/Rear-View Camera) - Test Brake lights - Test LEFT and RIGHT Turn Signals o VERIFY that Strap-On mirrors are AIMED correctly o Tug Test by pulling ahead ~5 feet (assure nothing "feels" wrong)

(if so, set Leveling Pads and Chock as needed) o Will Power cable reach Power Post ??? o Will Water Hose reach Faucet ??? + Can 40-Meter Dipole be set up ??? ----------------------------- SET TRAILER ON CAMPSITE ----------------------------- Before backing into campsite o Crank UP (CW) A-Frame Jack (use Red Cone from storage compartment) o Remove WDH Torsion Bars (stow in storage compartment) o Crank DOWN (CCW) A-Frame Jack (raises Jack Post away from ground / stow Red Cone) +++ Back into assigned Campsite +++ o Level side-to-side - Use one or more leveling pads (and attached Chock Block) - May take several attempts o Set (4) Chock Blocks Unhitch Trailer o Un-Pin and slide Ball Lock to unlocked position (stow pin atop Propane Tank) o Crank UP (CW) A-Frame Jack until it is above the Ball o Disconnect 7-Way connection o Disconnect Safety Chains o Disconnect Breakaway Cord +++ Pull Tow Vehicle away a few feet +++ o Level front-to-back (using A-Frame Jack w/Red Cone) o Remove Hitch from Tow Vehicle / Store on rear bumper of TT o Set Stabilizers (return crank handle to storage compartment) Inside Tow Vehicle o Turn OFF Rearview Camera o Turn OFF TPMS o Turn OFF Tow Vehicle MARKER lights (set Headlights back to Automatic) o Unplug APRS ---------------- OPENING UP ---------------- o Flip out Door Hand Rail / Unlock Door / fold out and setup Stairs Test POWER at Post for wiring errors o Turn OFF breaker at Campground Power Post o Connect Power Cable to Power Post (but NOT connected to TT) o Turn ON Breaker at Power Post (Verify that ONLY the Green LED on cable connector should be lit) Connect Power o Turn OFF Breaker at Power Post o Attach Power Cable to Twist Lock on TT o Turn ON Breaker at Power Post - EMS will take a few seconds before power will be delivered to TT - EMS display should indicate ~120 volts and "E0" for no wiring errors Connect Water o Connect water hose to FILTER to REGULATOR then to Campground spigot - Turn ON water spigot - Let water run for several seconds to clean out the filter and hose o Attach water hose to TT inlet (using an Elbow w/shutoff) - Turn water ON at spigot (pressure gauge should read ~40 psi) - Bleed AIR out of lines in TT (both Hot and Cold) o Turn ON On-Demand Water Heater (white rocker switch inside heater compartment) o Turn ON Propane at Tank --- Turn ON Air Conditioner (if necessary) --- Turn ON Furnace / Electric Heater (if necessary) --- Set out chairs / tables --- Open the awning (if no heavy rain or heavy winds) --- Set up Picnic Table / Pop-Up Gazebo + Re-scan ATSC channels on TV (ATSC Antenna must be turned ON) + Set up HAM antennas
